This is my 6th Grade class picture, from Nova Scotia. It's funny how clearly I can remember a lot of these kids. Can you find me?
(Hint: my shirt could be seen from space.)
Also- the first boy I ever kissed is in this photo- He was a spin the bottle champion. Care to venture a guess?
If you can also pick out my best friend, my 6th grade nemesis, and the class brain, I will send you a prize. A good one.

As for your spin the bottle kisser; I hope it's not the boy in the same row, fourth from the left...but if it was, I hope he didn't poke you with his pocket protector. :)
oh yes that's you on the bottom right. isn't it scary that the gune sax look that so many of these young girls are sporting is back in now? i love that super tall chick in the back center. she's towering over everyone and they put her on the top riser in the middle. she had to be hating it. great photo!
How fun is that! I'm guessing hot pink. I had the same 'do and I'm sure the frilly shirt.

I laughed at the first boy who kissed me. Fortunately he went on to have a normal life.
Haha- you guys are good- yes, that's me in the front right, Strawberry Shortcake. My only regret is that I couldn't find a pinker, frillier blouse to wear that day. Too bad Liberace didn't have a kids' clothing line back then...

la ketch- Yes, I was usually the shortest, and she was always the tallest- both stuck in our own personal hells. I don't think we ever spoke. Elaine. I remember when miniskirts came back in that year, and I was like, YES!!! JUST like Betty & Veronica!
Jenn- No first row lovin' for me, lol. I can't remember Frodo very well... I think he had a tough life. Eight is Enough was the shortest boy..so we had a kinship. :)
I remember the way I thought back then, I can't believe how tiny we all were. Piper will be there in 7 years. Lord.

Your first kiss is the boy 2nd from the left in the 2nd row wearing a khaki colored plaid button-down & looking very metro-sexual for a 6th grader.
The brunette w/long hair & a big smile in the 2nd row, dead center was your nemesis.

1st kiss- 2nd guy from left in top row, blonde, Todd. Although I wouldn't have minded kissing Marty, the guy in the blue shirt right behind me. Can you SEE the feathered hair? I was smitten.
Best friend, Mandy, short dark hair, royal blue blouse, in the top row. She lived 2 houses down from me, then we lost touch when her family moved to Newfoundland in Jr High.
A few years ago, I went to have a massage at a spa in Banff, and she was the masseuse. It was so fun to catch up.
Brain- Pakistani boy in the middle row, grey velour shirt, glasses. Not only was Nipun smarter than the rest of us put together, but he was also very funny and sweet. I wonder what he's up to now?
Nemesis- Karen in the blue dress, next to the teacher. We competed viciously over who could write the neatest on the chalkboard, draw the best, and get the highest marks. She also kissed Todd, that little hussy. And can you see how perfectly feathered HER hair was? I couldn't compete... my curls held me back. That bitch.

i knew everyone but the brain...well, i didn't actually know todd was your first kiss, but...he was always a honey so that was my guess! definately knew it was karen--the nemisis. nice that you randomly met up with mandy after all this time. that's really amazing.
