The Tiniest Angels

Please, if you do pray, say one for my friend, Kate. Sweetsalty Kate. She is in the hospital right now with her brand new twin boys, Liam and Ben, who were born too early, at 28 weeks, due to TTTS, and are struggling to make it in this big old world.

If you don't pray, please send all of your positive vibes to this beautiful family, to keep them strong and healthy and together.

Kate - keep doing what you're doing, mama. Don't let all of those terrible wires, tubes and beeping machines keep you from those boys. Sing to them, make that precious milk, breathe, write, eat, gaze, love, and just soak up those little angels. Never before has living in the moment been so important.

We love you.

we were also diagnosed with TTTS and the girls came early but we had 4 weeks on those little ones. i can only imagine that the emotional roller coaster we experienced is that much more intense for your friend and her family. we are sending hugs and hope their way. aliina

Be sure to drop her a note of encouragement on her site, ladies - it's all we can do from here..
Thank you! :)

aliina- Man- it seems like ALL identicals get this bitch of a syndrome to some degree, doesn't it? My girls were c-sectioned out at 34 weeks due to TTTS as well. But they were already big/old enough to survive, and the TTTS was not advanced enough to do any serious damage. Still scary though.

I'm a good friend of Kate and Justin's. I hate that we live so far apart. I am in BC and she's in Nova Scotia. I can only pray and send my wishes and positive healing vibes her way. Thanks for your post on your blog.

Hey Eve...please pass along our prayers to your dear friend.

You can tell her that at this time last year my cousin had her baby at 26 weeks....little Hannah only weighed 1 pound. They had a rocky road for a few months, but she is doing great now.....hard to believe.

I will pray for the same type of miracle for your friend.

Hugs,
Tara-Lynn
